Nice class, bad grade!!!

Strange….right? But it is at it seems. Today, I was happy because I had to teach again after a period of forced vacation because of the terrible rain; I had the opportunity to prepare my class and all the activities since last week. I read everything in order to be well prepared for this first day, and even I tried to improve my class by adding more enthusiasm as other teachers have told me to do it, and also I follow the recommendations that my tutor gave in the last feedback.

But guess what? Now that I followed her recommendations, she told me to change the things almost in the same way that I did them in the last class. So I got confused and frustrated because I’ve never crowded her expectations. She just evaluated me one activity because she did not like, but she never talked about the rest of them or said something positive about my class. I don’t like this evaluation because it is not fair, and it won’t help me to improve; it will just help to make me feel terrible!

Talking about the class, I greeted the students, and I asked them about their activities in the last week, and if they had had any kind of problem with the rain, but thanks God they didn’t. After that I made a little warm-up related with the new topic in which the students had a little fun. Then, I asked them to read a paragraph; it was related with jobs and present participle, so I didn’t want to talk too much about jobs because I did it in the last class. I asked them to work in pairs and read aloud to each other because I’ve noticed that they’re afraid to speak and pronounce the words. For me it was a nice idea, but my tutor thought the opposite.

I asked them about the reading, and they answered very well. Besides, I told them to underline the sentences or expressions in present perfect, and almost all of them confused simple past with present perfect. Then, I explained the grammar and the difference between the two tenses, and they got it easily.

Finally, I made two controlled activities; the first one was a fill in the blanks activity for them to practice "have" and "has" and the other one was a crossword for them to practice the verbs in the participle form.

I enjoyed my class, and I think the students as well, also they were participating and doing all the activities. I know that a grade defines knowledge, but I don’t think this grade will define me because I’m glad that I’ve improved my skills as a teacher, and thanks God, I don't have nerves anymore!

Every class is a new experience!!!

Hello friends!!
After two weeks of vacations, I had to come back to my teaching practicum, and now I want to share my new experience during my last class. I´m happy because I´m almost done with these practices; I´m in the third period, but as I said before, every class is a new experience. Guess what??? During my last class, I didn´t introduced myself and of course, I didn´t notice it until my tutor told me during the feedback, and I was reflecting on myself and what a shame on me! This is my last period and I´m doing things that were supposed to do in the first period instead of the last one. That means that I have to pay more attention because now I have a new group; though I already know them, I have to follow the same steps.

I tried to make the class funny because in that way students learn and they don´t get bored; also the time passes quickly. I started the class with the warm-up which was about jobs; it was review of some jobs and occupations that the students supposed to know already. Then, I had to make the presentation related with jobs, so I took a reading of a book and I change it into strips for the students to order and read it.

According to me, the class was nice because the students were completing the activities that I had planned; though the reading took 35 minutes, but I gave them the chance to read and practice. I did it in that way because my previous tutors had told me to let them read, but my actual tutor told me that I took too much time in that activity. I know that each person has a different mind and sometimes I get confused, but for future classes, I will try to do my best with the activities that I consider appropriate for the students.

My last class!!!

Hello my dear friends!!
Today, I want to share the experience of my last class with the advanced students. During the 1st and 2nd class, I was kind of frustrated, but since the 3rd class, the things were going on better, and in this 4th class, I can say ¨good job¨ to myself. Thanks God, I was not nervous when teaching the class, even I did not get frustrated when planning it; I just tried to follow the topic and to look for interesting activities according their age.
I started the class with the same warm-up as in my previous class because I noticed that they liked it, and I promised them to do it again in next class; moreover, I thought that it would be interesting in order to introduce the new topic.  The students had a lot of fun with it, and they were trying to do their best. After the warm-up, I taught the grammar notes with a matching activity which was pretty easy; also I invented some tenses in order to know if the students were paying attention and they could notice them and also to have fun. I wrote the examples of the warm-up for them to notice that those sentences were useful, also I asked them their own sentences, and finally, I asked them what they have understood about the new topic, applying the CCQ.
After the grammar notes, students did some practice on the book, and we checked it together. One advantage for this activity was lack of books because almost the half of the class does not have it. The next activity was similar to the first practice, but in this case, I asked them to do it orally, and later, we checked the sentences together. I have planned a funny activity for them to enjoy and to practice the topic, but I did not have enough time, so I could not do it, but I gave all the material to my tutor and she was glad and excited, and she told me that she has liked the idea and she was going to do it later.
When my class was over, I thanked the students and the teacher. My tutor told me that she had enjoyed my class, and I was very happy to finish this period because in some moments I just wanted to give up. Thanks God I did it!!! =)

A great class!!!

Hello!!! Today I want to share my last experience in the teaching area. To tell the truth, I am totally fascinated with this class, and I can tell you that this is the best class that I have taught. I noticed it since the beginning, I mean since the moment that I started to prepare the class because it was the first time that I was not nervous in the previous day of teaching, I did not feel pressure of teaching, and I felt that I was going to do something good. It would be because I tried to enjoy my class when preparing it, so it helped me not to feel frustrated as I used to feel in the previous classes.
First of all, I started the class with a whispering activity though I had just five students, but later, the rest of them were incorporating into the groups. I noticed that the students had fun with this activity, but what they did not know is that they were practicing the topic because the sentences that I included were related to it. Something that I should have done is to give more sentences, but I promised to do it again in the next class, and I will do it.
After that, I had to do an activity in order to make pairs, but I could not do it because they were just 20 students and the activity was prepared for 30 students, so I had to change it and decide in the moment what else to do, and I let them choose their pairs in that way they had to create a dialogue in which they had to include the topic. It seems a little bit hard, but I showed them that it was not. I gave an example, and I told them to choose an interesting topic. There were some pairs that were undecided, so I asked them what things they liked in order to help them choosing the topic.
For me, it was unbelievable because all the pairs did the dialogue even the ones that usually talk a lot, and they did a good job with very good imagination, and it was nice to transmit it into that way. We had a good time when they had to perform it in front of the class, but unfortunately, with much respect, that teacher Christian arrived with a representative of the embassy of the United States, so I could not listen to all of them. But they had the opportunity to learn about the culture of the U.S. and practice the listening skills.
Now, I feel enthusiasm of continue teaching, and I am sure that I am learning a lot with this practices.

A hard class!!!

Hello my dear friends!!!
Now, I want to share with you my last experience when teaching Advanced level. Though I tried to do my best, the things did not go so good for me because students were very hyperactive during the whole class, and that made me feel a little anxious and with less confidence.
I prepared my class the best that I could, but it was not enough in the practice because sometimes I did not know what to do with the students as they were doing a lot of noise. It was just a group of boys, who were talking a lot, but that group distracted the whole class, and I told them sometimes to be quiet, but they denied doing it and because of the age, I think they are difficult to manage.
Since I have taught them once, I tried to prepare activities which they could enjoy. I brought a song for teaching the grammar notes and for them to sing it. Thanks God they liked the song and had a good time with it. That´s why I took advantage of it, and I assigned a free activity for them to practice speaking; that activity was related with the song and with the topic in discourse.
An observation that I had was to take more time explaining the grammar notes, I did not do it long because some teachers had told me to do it short, but I think each teacher is different and I have to respect each comment in order to improve my knowledge.
Though this was my second class, I was so nervous as my first class, and I do not why but I cannot avoid it.

My first entry of the second period!!

Hello friends!! Today, I started my second period in the teaching practicum, and I want to tell you about my experience with the students of Advanced English I. Since some days ago, I had been very nervous because I had to teach advanced students and I did not know them either the teacher. I tried to control myself, but the most I tried the worst I was. When I observed the class, I saw that the class was pretty big and the students were very noisy; for that reason, I got more nervous. So I tried to study a lot in order to teach my class and to be well prepared for it.

At the beginning, I was nervous, but since I started the class, I felt better and more comfortable. The warm up was quite short and it did not have to do anything with the topic; I did it for the students to relax and have fun. My tutor told me that the warm up was nice and that she has never seen it before. Later on, I taught grammar and to tell the truth, I was anxious for teaching it because I was really prepared for doing so, and I organized well my class. Also, my tutor told me that she has liked my explanation.

After teaching grammar, I let the students practice on it by doing some exercises in which they worked really well, I was happy because most of them have understood the topic. I tried to monitor the students in order to check if they were working; though the teacher told me that I usually did it in the left part of the group, <> so next time I will do it in both parts.

Something that really helped me was that I managed well the topic, so when the students asked something, I was able to answer them. Something that I have to change is my voice in certain moments; though my tutor told me that I have a good voice, she also told that it would be a good idea to change the intonation sometimes in order to get the students’ attention when they’re speaking a lot. =)

4th entry!!!

Today, I want to share the experience of my last class in the first period of teaching in the Intensive Intermediate English I. It was a hard class because the teacher told me to prepare the grammar notes and to develop all the activities I could because she had little time to complete the unit, so I had to teach the grammar notes in an understandable and attractive way, but at the same time in a fast way. Thanks God, the students got easily the ideas and I was asking them to create some sentences for knowing if they had really understood.

During the activities, I tried to apply the CCQ which was very successful because I noticed that the students were understanding me, and also some of them were able to speak in order to explain others what they had to do in each activity. Moreover, the teacher told me that the CCQ was a good idea because students paid more attention when I was explaining the directions.

I liked this class because I had to study the topic, which was a little tricky to understand, and looked for more information in order to further enrich my knowledge. I think teachers must be well prepared in order to answer the students’ possible questions about the topics. In some extent, I tried to push the students to work fast and to make some activities orally for them to have more practice with the new topic.

In general, I liked this class because students were working hard, and they have understood the topic. Besides, I had more confidence and I felt sure about what I was teaching.

3rd entry!!

Hello friends!!

Now I want to share my teaching experience in the third class of this period. It was such a nice class with lots of activities. During this class, I tried to include the different learning styles such as bodily-kinesthetic, visual, tactile and audio because I have noticed that not all of them like to work in the same learning style so I have to think in my students´ learning process by applying a variety of activities for them to learn and develop their English skills.

Moreover, I tried to find the best pictures in magazines in order to bring them to the class for the students to describe them and to be part of those pictures. Students had to choose one picture, but they wanted to choose more than one, and also the teacher told that the pictures were amazing.

In one activity, I asked students to review the previous topics by doing mimics and creating sentences with each tense. Besides, I let them to made group work, pair work, and individual work. Also, I encourage them to use their own thoughts toward the activities.

For this class, I did not have to prepare so many activities by myself because all of them were already prepared. But I tried to include my own creativity though I think I still have to work on it because I know I can do it better. Also, I have to work on pronunciation because two students mispronounce some words and I did not correct them; for that reason, I have to pay more attention when students are pronouncing.

Something that I want to share is that now I feel better when I am teaching than in the previous semester because I have a little more self-confidence. Besides, my tutor told me that she has notice that I have more communication with the students, and that made me feel good because I know that I am improving my teaching abilities.

2nd Entry!!

This was a nice class, even much better than the first one. I arrived into the classroom on time, but I had to wait some minutes for the teacher, and I was getting nervous, but then it disappeared because I prepared some good activities for the class, and I felt ready for teaching.

When the class started, I made a review of one of the topics that the students have already seen which was about the past participle. I felt that at the beginning all the students liked the activity, but almost at the end some of them did not want to participate. One of the issues was that they did not remember the verbs very well, and the other was that the activity took more time that the one I planned; I think for next time, I should take those issues into account in order to have better results.

Afterward, I let them change some sentences into negative in an orally form; I knew they liked this activity because their minds have to work more quickly. Besides, I gave them some envelops with sentences strips which some of them had questions and the other had answers. I noticed that the students had a good time getting the answers, and they were enjoying a lot at the same time that they were recognizing the different kind of sentences.

Moreover, I made an activity in which they had to write the answers on the board. I felt happy when my tutor told me that writing on the board was a nice idea for them to practice and for me to check if the answers were correct.

I felt very comfortable with this group because they were very nice with me, and we have a good connection; moreover, my tutor was very nice with me, and she was always trying to help me to improve my abilities and to know my errors in a good way.

My 1rst class!!! (1rs Period)

This is my first class of the Teaching Practicum II, and in this period I have to teach Intermediate English Level I with twenty five students.

In today’s class, I had to teach a new topic related with names, but at the same time I had to review some tenses that the students have already studied in the previous semester.

I started the class with a warm-up for which I pasted some pieces of paper around the classroom containing wh-questions and the students had to stand up and make groups of three and answer the questions with their own information.

I liked that activity because they got entertaining answering some funny questions and they were inventing things in order to answer them. After that, I made five groups of five students, and I gave to each group a reading, but it was cut into small pieces of paper.

Each group had to put the reading in order and then they had to read it. I was monitoring each group and asking if they had questions about new words or about pronunciation. Finally, I asked to each group what the reading was about, and they answered in the correct way. I think it was a good idea to do the activity in that way because the students didn’t get bored, and also my tutor congratulated me for my creativity and good job in this class.

After that, I gave a page to each student that contained a puzzle in which the students had to search some verbs in a wordsearch in order to complete the sentences that appeared in the bottom of the page. I liked the students’ motivation toward the activity because since the time I gave the puzzles they got very cheerful and they started to solve it in a quickly way.

I felt very comfortable in this class because I already knew the students and tutor, and that made feel more confidence of my knowledge.

My last entry!!! =)

This is my last entry for the teaching practicum!! Let me tell you that though I had many difficulties in adapting me in this new world of teaching, I have had wonderful experiences facing the reality of my major. It’s great to help someone when you can do it because you feel the satisfaction that you have done a good job. The last class that I taught was very nice, and I happy because I could finish my practice with a good experience in my last group. The activities were done as I expected and the students were very enthusiastic, I think that reflects my job due to I was trying to do my best in that class. In this class, I tried to use a variety of activities in order to have fun during the class, and of course that happen during teaching, students were enjoying it. Something that I have to keep in mind is that for future teaching practicum I have to be more prepared with the lesson plans I have to work with and to manage all the activities and vocabulary it has. During this class, I had to teach an easy tense that was present progressive but with long vocabulary related with cloth. This was a practice of teaching, but also I could practice my English and improve my skills. This group of students was really kind, even one student sang for me in this class; it was so cute because I never expected him to do it, and everybody was happy clapping and moving their hands!!! I will never forget my first teaching practicum in this semester much less this last class….

Thank you for letting me sharing my ideas and thought with you, friends, you’re an important part of my learning teaching process!!!

3rd entry!!

Hello friends!!
Let me tell you that this class was very nice for me because since the beginning students were enjoying the warm-up and the activities they were doing. The first day of class, I thought this group was shy and they didn’t like to participate a lot, but today, I noticed that they enjoyed working together and making bodily-kinesthetic activities, so I took advantage of that. Thanks God, today, I didn’t teach grammar so I had the opportunity to make free activities for them to practice the prepositions of place. I liked the last activity I did because I make groups in which each one had to make a drawing emphasizing the prepositions of place, and students were exciting drawing some items in the paper I provided. Then, they had to explain in front of the class the drawings they made and the rest of the students were paying attention to the drawings and the sentences they said. When my class was over everybody was happy and me too…. hehe.... I feel good because I had less mistakes and I enjoyed teaching today, I think that is the most important.  =)

2nd entry!!

This class was better than the first one because I felt better when teaching and also because my students had a better attitude.... I think they could understand when I was trying to explain the activities, but I have to take into account that they are students for basic level, and I have to give less explanation because they get loss easily hehe, and I didn't care about that in this class, but for the next one I will. I enjoyed with the students during the activities because when students understand me and have fun and I do too, and I think that is a good step for me as a future teacher. I know I have to learn much more, but I'm trying to do my best and something that I will keep in mind is that I have to sleep well the previous day before teaching because that is going to help me to have a better attitude toward the class and my students too.... I had to teach grammar again, but in this time I had a better day, and students could understand me because when I asked them, they answered me in a correct form. For me, the hard part of teaching is making the lesson plan and when students ask me new words that I don't know hehe but I'm learning and I don't have to give up easily.... Thanks classmates for your support!!! =)

1rst entry!!

Hello friends!!

This is my first entry for the 3rd period, I’m glad because I almost finish teaching and thanks God the experience is not so bad, I have enjoyed many classes. In this opportunity, I’m teaching basic, I have 28 students and 5 of them didn’t go to my class. I was nervous because it was my first class with that group, and I didn’t know anything about the students and I wanted to hear my teacher’s expectations about my class. Because I was so nervous, I didn’t show too much enthusiasm and that affect my class because my students were distracted even though they are not active students as the ones I had in my previous group. Talking about the methodology, I think I did a good job because in the warm-up and I think some of them enjoyed it, but others not because they got late into the classroom. I had to explain the grammar notes, and I tried to do it in a new form, and I think they didn’t notice that I was explaining the grammar notes.

For next class, I should be more prepared and also I should be more enthusiastic for my students to enjoy my class, so do I because in that way they learn more.

Teaching!!

Hello friends!!

Today, I want to share my experience in my last class of the second period. Let me tell you that this was a wonderful experience; I dare to say that this was the best class that I have taught because I felt really connected with my students and all of them were working more than what I expected. Since they warm-up I made, students were having fun at the same time that they were practicing the simple past; it was a free activity because they had to say their own stories, so they put in practice what they have learned. The next activity was controlled, and at the beginning I thought they were not going to do it, but they did it very well and with a good attitude. To tell truth, it was a funny class for all the activities I made, and I was happy because they were active. Before starting the class, I felt very badly because I was sick, and I was thinking that I had to give my best because I couldn’t be with that attitude in the class. Thanks God, everything was nice, and I achieved my goal for that class. On the other hand, I don’t know my feedback about the class, so I don’t know if my tutor liked my class. But the most important is that I felt good, and I really liked that experienced, and that kind of experience is what motivates me to go ahead.

Thank you friends for supporting me, it has helped me a lot!!!

Teaching!!!

Hello friends!!

I’m here again in order to tell you about my class. This was my third class and I planned to video-tape it. I started a little bit late but it was because of the teacher because he was late and I had to wait for him. I started with the warm-up and I had a little hard time when explaining because they didn’t get the idea, but later when I performed it, they could understand. Then, I started the other activities and all of them were a review of the last unit, so I had to make free practice. In one moment of the class, I felt kind of bored because I was just monitoring the students, and I felt that I was not doing anything! But I think I have to let students work by themselves. I was not nervous, but I was kind of tired because I didn’t sleep well the previous night. I have to consider that factor for the next class hehehe. I have planned many activities, but I didn’t finish them, so I gave the material to the teacher for him to use it. I think I did a good job, but I’m not sure because I haven’t heard about the teacher’s feedback, and also because I felt kind of bored during the class, but I think that can be because of the free practice, but anyway, I already finish the class, and I think it was acceptable!! =)

2 Entry!!

Hello, my friends!!!
I want to tell you about my second class in basic. As you know, this is a new experience because the basic group is totally different from the advanced one, but it’s nice to work with them. Something that really calls my attention is that there are many boys and just a few girls, and almost all the time, girls are the majority. This class was really nice for me, I think everything was as I expected. I came on time and I made a different seating arrangement, then I prepared all the material and I was waiting just for the teacher. I started the class late, but it was not my fault because they teacher got late. For this class, I was not nervous and I felt really comfortable.  I made my warm-up and the teacher told me that he liked it and it was awesome! Then, started with the last part of the grammar notes and exercises, and I was happy because I was seeing that students were working and they were also enjoying with the activities. I made them to work individually, in pairs, and also with the whole class. When the class was in the middle, I made a parenthesis and I asked them some riddles for them to enjoy; the first one that I said just a few of them could understand it, but to the others, they paid more attention and they were laughing about them. With the last activity, I tried to mix all the things they have studied, daily routines, time telling, adverbs of frequency, prepositions, etc. I brought a die in order to play with it, and students liked it. The teacher told me to finish all the activities that I have prepared, and they last the two classes. It was nice because I didn’t feel pressure for teaching, nervous or something else. I think, this was a wonderful experience because I felt a connection among the students and me. I think these experiences are the ones that I’m going to remember forever!!! =)

1rst Entry!!

Hi, people!!! This is my entry for my first class.... let me tell you that this class was kind of extrange because some things were awful and other really good...
Well, the point is that I think in general, this was not my day!  First of all, I had some difficulties to get to the classroom and that made me feel bad and nervous. =( I got 10 minutes late to classroom, and I felt really ashamed! The worst part was that the teacher had already started the class with the warm-up. The transition between him and I was kind of hard and strange at the same time. Even, I didn't know if I had to start the class with a warm-up or not because he had already done it. But, I decided to avoid it and continue with the rest of my class. But my bad luck didn't end there because I was going to teach the grammar with a song, and when I noticed that cd-player didn't have an input for usb, so I couldn't perfom the activity. Thanks God, I had one activity that was nice to teach grammar, and I used it though students didn't know that it was for grammar. I felt good because students didn't know the incident of the cd-player, also because they liked the activity that I performed instead. Afther that, I made other activities with flashcards and other materials, and I felt good because I heard some comments of the students that they were enjoying the activity, also that they had liked my flashcards =) even the teacher told me at the end that he had liked my flashcards. I think this group is very enthusiastic; therefore, I have to take advantage of that in order to have a nice class and students don't get bored. At the end, I got a good grade, and at least the activities that I performed were nice.

4th class!!

This was my last class of the first period, I was not nervous as the previous classes and I felt enthusiasm to teach. For me, this was a nice class because almost everything was as I expected, and I felt that the students were enjoying the class. I started with a warm-up in which each student had to think about a famous person they liked or admired because they was going to be that person in that moment and the rest of the class had to guess the name of the famous. Then, I continued with the class, and I presented a song which was kind of old and at the beginning I thought it may be boring for them, but actually I noticed that they liked the song. I prepared an activity for the students to order the sentences of the song while they were listening to it, and they did it perfectly; then, some of them were singing the song. The moment that was kind of bad, was when I asked them to make predictions about the song because they did not have too much ideas about it, so I think for next class, I should bring pictures or more activities to do for that moment. And as almost all the classes, I had to teach grammar, but in this class it was just a little part of it. I felt good because I could explain and answer all the questions students asked me. Then I presented some pictures about famous people and I asked them if they knew something about them. Finally, I asked them to do a matching activity that was in the book, and they did it really fast in less than one minute. I was happy because they had understood the topic.

What I really like is that I’m learning how to be a teacher because I remember that a teacher told us once “leave your troubles at home and be a new person in the class”, I’m saying this because I had some personal problems that affected my feelings before teaching, but I tried to give my best in the class and believe me that I forget them during I was teaching, and I think I did a good job. I will try to keep this in mind because I know that it will help me a lot. =)

3rd Class!

Hello classmates!

Let me tell you that for this class, I felt that I was not prepared enough because I got sick the previous days before teaching and that affected my nerves, feelings and mood. When I arrived to the University on Tuesday morning, I noticed that I have forgotten to prepare a warm-up for the class, and I felt terrible because my mind was in another planet, and I was trying to remember an activity but it was so hard to do it. During the class, I felt a little bored because I was working just with activities on the book, and I was analyzing that my students may have been bored, too. I tried to be friendly with them and to show them enthusiasm, but inside I wanted to know about what my students were thinking about my class and how they felt toward it because almost all the activities were done by them, and I was just monitoring them. I made pair-work, I asked them personal information about the cities they would like to travel, the cities they have already visited in our country or around the world, etc., also I asked them to make a debate and I divided the class in two groups, one group was in pro of living in the city and the other one in pro of living in the countryside. When I finished the class, the teacher gave me the feedback, and I noticed that I have made some grammar mistakes hehe but I have had less mistakes than in the previous classes and that made feel good =) moreover, I got a better grade. I was asking to myself why that grade because I felt that I have worked less, but then I noticed that in this class I made more free practice and that means that I let the students work by themselves and I was just monitoring them, and in the previous classes I have taught the controlled practice, so I had more participation. Then I understood that the most important is to think if my students are learning, and I will notice that in the free practice because they work by themselves and put in practice the structures and vocabulary they have already learned. I learned that the classes will not be the same all the time, and I as a teacher have the opportunity to make my students enjoy and feel each class unique.

Thank you for reading my ideas!! =)

2nd Class

Well, in my second class, I was more nervous than in the first class and I don't know why because it is supposed that you feel nervous at the first time but I wasn't in my first time, and I felt nervous today during the morning. But when I started the class I felt nice. In this class, I felt really preapred with all the acitivities and also because I used different materials, and I think I made a good job. I liked that way I explained the grammar and also how I made the students interact among them. For me, this class was better than the previous one, but I got less grade. I think the most important is that I feel satisfied with my job. I made some grammar mistakes and I have to pay specially attention on that in the next class, also the teacher told me that I need to have more enthusiasm, and I don't know what to do because I'm trying to give my best, and I feel that I have a good enthusiasm duuring the class, also I try to be friendly with the students in order to have more communication. I hope to give my best for the next class because I think I can do it.
Thanks 4 your attention!! =)

My first Class!

This was the first class that I had to teach, and it was so cool. I really like it because I was enjoying together with the students. Though they were students of advanced level, I think I could manage the class.
Before and during the class, I was not nervous, I felt good. But the days before, I was so nervous because I was thinking about how to teach the class, about the topic because it was a little bit hard for me, and I was trying to fit some activities for the grammar notes.
Personally, I really liked the warm-up which introduced the new topic, and the last activity in which  students put in practice what they have learned during the class and during the previous levels. I noticed that my students enjoyed with the activities and that made me feel good.
What I did not like was the grammar and I think it was not so good. I must have been more prepared with the topic.
I liked that the students were paying attention to me, and they were participating during the whole class. To be my first class in the teaching practice, I think it is good and acceptable, but it is not complete good, I think I can give more and I'll try to do my best for the next class... =)                                                                                                               See you in the next entry!! ^_^
